Location: Athens, Georgia
Length: 5 miles

Rank: #5 of 92 best trail runs in Georgia
Farmington / Oconee Loop trail Directions: Coming from Athens, go down 441 south, through Farmington. Just past Farmington there is a large metal-looking pavilion on the right called the Oconee Exhibition area or something like that. You'll probably see some horse trailers, as I believe they have horse shows here, but I didn't see any evidence of horses on the trail. Pull around behind the pavilion and the trail begins to the left.

Review: This is a really great trail with a lot of singletrack and changes in elevation. There are a lot of trails that offshoot from each other so it is probably best to bring your GPS. It has everything from roots to rocks which makes it a bit technical. Mountain Bikers and horse riders use this trail as well but there were signs that the trails were closed to horses when I was there so no horse poop!

There is a big white house up on bricks on your right when traveling to this trail from Athens. Turn here and travel down to the parking lot on the left.
